In addition, the IMPACT16 improves stability while maintaining the comfortable and forgiving feel that makes the XTrainer platform popular with riders of all skill levels. Riders benefit from better traction, improved support, and a more planted feel in rough terrain.

Advanced Hydraulic Control

Built around a high-performance 50mm aluminum piston and a hard-anodized aluminum body, the IMPACT16 combines low-friction operation with advanced hydraulic control. Furthermore, the bladder-style design improves damping consistency while reducing cavitation during demanding riding conditions.

Riders also benefit from independently adjustable rebound, high-speed compression, and low-speed compression circuits for precise setup tuning. As a result, the shock provides a more controlled and connected feel across changing terrain conditions.

Technology Overview

The IMPACT16 utilizes a large-volume damping architecture with a 50mm aluminum piston paired to a 16mm shaft for improved oil control and damping stability. Additionally, the hard-anodized body reduces wear while supporting smoother shock movement under load.

The bladder system design also helps maintain damping consistency by minimizing cavitation and aeration during repeated impacts. Moreover, the premium internal components help provide a smooth and predictable damping feel during aggressive riding conditions.
